Preview #5: Predators try to extend road winning streak against Oilers

On Monday night, the Nashville Predators will try to extend their road winning streak to 3 games when they visit Edmonton to play the Oilers. While the Predators hope to get back into the win column after two losses on home ice, two Predators will be looking to extend their hot starts to the season.
David Legwand and Sergei Kostitsyn both have picked up points in all four games that Nashville has played. Legwand extended his points total to 8 when he picked up an assist on Colin Wilson’s power play goal in the first period on Saturday night. Legwand is in a three-way tie for the NHL points lead with Toronto’s Phil Kessel and the Islanders John Tavares.
Bouillon makes trip to Western Canada with Predators

Predators defenseman Francis Bouillon hasn’t played a game since January 16th when he suffered a concussion after being hit into the boards at the United Center in Chicago by then Blackhawk Troy Brouwer. Bouillon missed 51 regular season games as well as the playoffs last season.
“It is tough to say right now,” Bouillon said when asked how close he is to being game ready. It is not expected that Bouillon will play on the road trip, but it was important to the New York native to remain an active part of the team.
“Staying here skating by myself, it is different,” Bouillon explained, adding, “I want to be there. I want to be involved. They are going to have three or four practices. I want to be involved in those.”
Bouillon says he just needs a little more time to feel confident on the ice. “We are just trying to figure out everyday how I feel. Right now, I’m not feeling 100% comfortable on the ice. I need a little more practicing with the team, but I am pretty close,” he said.
The Predators begin the first of two swings through Western Canada Monday night when Nashville visits Edmonton. The Oilers are 1-1-1 on the season and are averaging over 20 minutes a game in penalties. Nashville sits at 2-1-1 on the season, are winless at home and undefeated on the road. The Oilers will want to stay out of the penalty box. Nashville sits second in the League for power play at 30.8% success rate.
